This thing is exactly as describe by Patagonia. You could literary be in a river and you wont get wet with it . I really have nothing negative to say. Its an amazing jacket and its completely 100 water proof . The hand warmers, amazing !!!!
I want to start by saying I haven't used the jacket yet.I know it's going to live up to my expectations from my experiences with Patagonia. The material feels bomber proof without it being too heavy.I really like the length, not too long but you get coverage past your hips perfect.Wading/fishing jackets in the past have been too short.I li... Seems like that'll be great for water running off of the hood and not getting on sunglasses.Oversized chest pockets good for fitting fly boxes etc and pockets on the inside of the jacket for gloves or extra gloves, hat.Inside zippered pocket with lanyard clip thing killer for securing car keys.I got the jacket to primarily guide in for days when we have foul weather.I know I'll be protected without any issues. One last thing I love about Patagonia is that if you need to make any adjustments it's all very easy with how you set up your products,a quick pull here and there and you're all set.
Had a SST for nearly 20 years and replaced it with the Swiftcurrent. It's thicker, makiing it warmer and feels more substantial than the old SST. I prefered the front bellowed pockets on the SST though, only I think that might be a matter of taste they just seemed more convenient The sleeves are great for keeping the elements out and sort of i... Read Morengenious, I'm older so maybe I don't know that much. Better, also than the SST is the way the neck and hood protect the face. It fits the body well and is unencumbering casting a fly rod. I feel it does run a little small so if you wear something very bulky underneath a size bigger might be in order. The only real criticism I have is the zipper pulls are too small and hard to grab ahold of and the tag ends could be of a wider diameter to make it easier to access the front pockets.. All in all I'm very happy with the Swifcurrent. .
The perfect fishing shell. Plenty of pockets big enough for fly boxes, etc. and an attachment at the back for a net (or whatever). I just wish it came in more colors!
