The material of the pants is nice. It's the fit that was incorrect. I used the size guide and purchased a M, I have a 32" waist. It's quite snug. Almost to the point of regret. There is an elastic band inside the waistline which helps extend the size but it's also where the snugness comes into play. I would love it if someone fr... Hi Paul! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry to hear the fit wasn't quite right. You can get your exchange started [here](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html).

Nice pant
I have 2 pairs of this pant Ive had for a couple years. These are replacements.
Good pants for purpose, but different than previous. Significantly smaller and I could have used a larger size. Frustrating! I would size up.
Hey Dan, thanks for the review. We did make some changes to these pants in Spring of '22. We updated to an Alpha Stretch waistband, eliminated stretch panels in seat, thigh and knee, added a tool dock to the waist, and added a knife wedge to the hand pocket. None of these redesigns should significantly change the fit, but if you ever need to do an exchange, the process is quick and easy, and could be started on [this page](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html).

Great wet-wading pants
Got these for wet wading in summer, and they do the job. Tough enough, quick drying, and light. But they're also great kick-around pants when it's too warm wear jeans but cool enough to need pants. I wear 'em all the time in spring and early fall.
Great pants, the first time I wore them was camping with the family, no less! I then proceeded to wear them for three days of hiking\camping and some adult beverages as well.. I love these pants as much as the cargo pants I wore on active duty! Good stuff.
Bought two pairs at my local outdoor shop. Very disappointed. Sizing is way off, these pants are too binding and there's no crouch room. These are on the water active pants. The elastic waist gives no extra room. The side pocket when wet wading fills with water very uncomfortable it's not needed. I have been wearing the Guide series pant ... I would have loved to give these pants 5 stars, but the cut on these are huge in the legs. I have always worn a 34" inseam on all Patagonia, and any other pant or jean I have owned so I purchased the Medium Long. The inseam on these seems like a 36"! Also the width of the legs seem really big as well. It reminded of the pants I wore in th... Read Moree mid 90's. I wish the legs were more tapered as well. Other than that, it is typical great Patagonia quality. I love the pockets, belt loops, fabric! But the legs on these are huge!
