Ive been wearing these crops since they were first introduced, and have duplicates in a couple of colors. Ive been fortunate to get most of the crops on sale, thank you, Patagonia! A Patagonia representative recommended them because of my petite size, and how they fit. I always contact customer service with any questions I may have about an item, a... Read Morend they are so helpful. I have several pair of these in every color, and wear them all summer for all activities, especially walking my pups. My opinion they are comfortable, not too heavy, but certainly substantial enough, and take the place of shorts, as well. The waste draw string really helps keep them in place. Theyre the best!
Great for what I need
I got these crops for bike commuting. I only go a few miles each way so no need for anything too technical, but I find that my normal pants/shorts get worn out on the inner thigh/rear area. I figured that leggings made for rock climbing should be durable enough to hold up to my bike seat if they can hold up to a rock face. So far, so good (it'... Read Mores only been a few weeks). They're a little less stretchy than some "workout" pants, but I find them comfortable enough. Also they aren't see through, so I'm not flashing my chonies to everyone on the road.
These aren't the most flattering sporty crops I own (if you're looking for the "lululemon bubble-butt effect" you'll be disappointed), but the material is thick and sturdy and will probably take a lot of abuse before pilling or wearing out. I've also noticed they stretch out a bit in-between washings. In general, if yo... Read Moreu don't want the super, skin-tight spandex look, while still being functionally sporty, these crops are for you. So far I've worn mine running, hiking, working in the garden and walking my dogs. Even though they're not my favorite sporty-crops aesthetically, I think I'll get a lot of use out of them and they'll have more longevity than most other brands.
My absolute favorites!!
I was able to catch these crops on sale and ordered them. Im so happy that I did! I wear them at least twice a week. They are so comfortable! The hold their shape well and wash very well. Will not fade or tear easily like most yoga pants or crops, very durable. I will definitely order these again!!!
See through, shorter than expected, bad fabric
these are more like long shorts than short pants, the fabric is flimsy. They are not anything like the pants of a similar design. I will be returning and do not recommend anyone purchase these

Don't bend over with these
Don't bend over with these on. I can't seem to keep them up unless I tie the skinny draw string super tight. Unfortunately then, it kind of digs in since it is skinny. I am wondering if buying a size smaller would have alleviated this problem, but I am not sure as I have wider hips, but a narrower waist.
Amy, we're sorry to hear the fit and waistband are disappointing. Size up! Great for yoga, errands, mid-weight tights.
I'm a size 2-6 depending on brands, usually 29 or 30 waist. I sized up and am definitely a comfy large. My partner is usually a size 00-2 depending on brands, usually 25-26 waist. They took the mediums that didn't fit me. We ended up ordering multiples since they're comfy to wear for yoga, around the house, city life. Size up! Size u... Read Morep! Size up!
Love everything but the fact that they are thin at the waist, which makes it easy for the top part to roll. Would love to see this pant with a thicker waist/more substantial fabric rather than a drawstring. xo

Waist line is cut low in back
I only wore these capris once, and I had to keep pulling them up. I don’t usually have that problem with exercise pants.
Sorry to hear that the pants have been a disappointment. You're welcome to [return](https://is.gd/DQq2nw) them to a Patagonia-owned-store or send them in for a refund or merchandise credit.
Nice crop pant with athletic fit roomy enough for well muscled thighs. Minus 1 star for lack of elastic in the waist. Must use the drawstring or they start to drift down with your underwear. Not sure what you use the side pockets for as they don't have a button or zipper to keep the contents from falling out.
