Like other reviewers, this will keep you warm. I run cold in general and I used this in 66F degree water and did not feel uncomfortable at all. I'd be interested to see how I'd feel with colder temp. Fit is fine - it's a pain to get on and off, especially taking out the arms. And the cuffs are snug. Neck is borderline uncomfortably t... Read Moreight and I feel afraid that I might rip/tear it when I pull the flap over my head. But it eases up, and hopefully gets better with use. Can't comment on flexibility comparison as I am new to surfing and don't have much experience with neoprene wetsuits.
I was worried this suit wouldn't fit, as my measurements around the hips were bigger than the size chart, but it wasn't a problem. It's not hard to get on especially while dry, and its quite warm. Although it seems durable overall, a small tear has formed where the interior section of the neck meets the suit of the body, though it wa... Read Mores probably user error while wiggling out of it.

Super warm
Possibly one of the best purchases I've ever made. I read the previous reviews about the fit and difficulty of putting it on and taking it off, but I decided to buy it and try it anyway. On the former, the fit is perfect for me (5ft 7in, size 8; my surf coach thinks I could have gone a size down, but there's no way I'd have been able... Read More to get in/out because...); on the latter, getting in and out is what I imagine it must be like for a caterpillar to wriggle/squeeze of its cocoon. In the ocean, this wetsuit is a dream. I've been surfing in Portugal in 14 - 17'C, and I genuinely don't feel the icy coldness of the water. I really dislike *being* cold, and would always be too hot rather than too cold - the fact that I'm so cosy warm in this wetsuit is real testimony to how brilliant it is. Finally, as someone whose day job is working on tackling ocean issues, environmental impact was a key factor in my decision to buy this - I was looking for Yulex, specifically, and knew I could look to Patagonia for products align with my personal set of values.
I try to stick to Yulex wetsuits now for environmental purposes. These suits are still super warm and very stretchy. I love the new neck/front zip mechanism its way easier to get into and out of and reminds me of why I loved the brand Id wear before. The neck itself is kind of tight but seems to ease up pretty fast. The shoulders arent as tight as ... Read Morebefore in the new cut, the bust is still a little small for the proportions of the suit but works for bigger chests still. For instance, Id probably be a size 6 if it werent for the bust and the bust on the 8 still is a little small/Im packed in. Overall a great suit and way better than the last iterations.
I maintain my own moorings, plus help others find theirs when they're lost. The flexibility of the rubber is amazing. I love the tight fit around the ankles and wrists. My little boy had to help me in, but that's ok, I know I'm going to stay warm!
I was incredibly excited to have purchased a yulex R2 chest zip when it was on sale (miracles do happen ;). Very quickly, however, the excitement dissipated.
my measurements
height: 5'5 (long torso and arms)
chest: 34"
waist: 26"
hips: 26"
inseam: 28,29
weight: 120lbs
TLDR; I got a size 8 but am probably a size 6. Still, the ... Read Moreneck opening for size 8 was waaay too small.

I read that this runs small and is stiff when dry, so I was expecting to encounter some difficulty putting it on. And, it was a struggle. Still, it was nearly impossible to get off. I needed to wrestle with it and eventually had my partner pull it off.. (seriously, I've had wetsuits before, some even too small and never had this much trouble)
Leg and Arm openings-- tight, almost constrictive, but not uncomfortable.
Body-- very wide from the thighs and low waist all the way up to the mid back- admittedly the size six would have been better here.
Chest/Shoulders-- Very tight. Makes on/off Incredibly difficult.
Arms-- tight and slightly long, and I have an ape index of 4 inches (my arm reach is 4 inches longer than my total height!)
Neck- this thing could strangle you.
Overall, I probably should have tried a size six.
BUT with the neck being insanely tight on an 8, I would not have been able to deal a size 6.
Bottom line, this suit does wonders for the environment. It is like the Tesla of electric cars... innovative, high quality,... but DEFINITELY not for the masses yet. Patagonia, please address fit design and I'd be so happy to try again...
Great performance, but terrible to put on and take off
This is an amazing wetsuit for keeping you comfortable in cold water. I am a total temperature wienie, dont typically swim in SF Bay, but pool closures and restrictions motivated me to try bay swimming again. While this wetsuit keeps me incredibly comfortable temperature-wise, its a total bear to put on and take off. Is crazy hard without a friend ... Read Moreto assist. Am wondering if there are any tricks to taking this on and off; am thinking because of natural materials, may not be advisable to use certain products like with neoprene wetsuits to help get the wetsuit on. Thanks in advance for any advice on this. Other than getting the wetsuit on and off, definitely one of my best pandemic purchases.
Thanks for the feedback on the warmth of your Women's R2® Yulex® Front-Zip Full Wetsuit. We are so glad you're getting outside for your exercise and enjoying wild places. As far as getting in and out of your suit -- the easiest way to get it on is to reach down through the neck and grab the waist then pull it on like a pair of pants, then put your left arm in, then the right and pull the neck gasket over your head last before zipping. Getting out is the same, but in reverse. Hope that helps!

High quality wetsuit
This wetsuit keeps me so warm while surfing; I could stay in the ocean for hours. Overall, awesome wetsuit but the neck is super tight. Im hoping it will loosen up a bit over time.
