We often hear from organizations that would like to understand how their actions and how other organization’s actions are doing on our site. We now send bi-annual metrics summary emails to all current users from your organization to help indicate how our audience engaged with your page and content through Patagonia Action Works. We also include averages, so you have context on how your metrics compare to what other groups are seeing.
If your organization does not have actions posted within the bi-annual time period in question, we’ll only share the programmatic averages so you have context about what other organizations are seeing.
Note that all of the metrics provided below are measured and provided on a bi-annual basis, so instead of being cumulative totals for your organization or for the platform, they are relevant to the specific 6 month window listed in the email.
Also note that because of the difference in timing that can occur between when a Social Amplification is posted and when it runs, Social Amplification metrics will not include data for ads that ran outside of the 6 month window listed in the email.
How we calculate Action Works metrics:
Your Total Actions Posted: The total number of actions that your organization posted within the date window listed, across all users and including skill-based volunteering.
Average Total Actions Posted: The average total number of actions that each organization on Patagonia Action Works posted within the date window listed, across all users and including skill-based volunteering.
Impressions Through Social Amplification: The total number of impressions your organization received through all paid social posts run by Patagonia.
Average Impressions Through Social Amplification: The average number of impressions organizations who posted social amplifications received on social media including all paid social posts run by Patagonia.
Clicks through Social Amplification: The total amount of clicks to your organizations landing pages received through all paid social posts run by Patagonia.
Average Clicks through Social Amplification: The average number of clicks organizations who posted social amplifications received on social media through all paid social posts run by Patagonia.
Skill-Based Volunteering Projects Posted: The total number of projects and calls your organization posted through the skill-based volunteering tool powered by Catchafire.
Average Projects Posted: The average number of projects and calls posted by organizations through the skill-based volunteering tool powered by Catchafire.
Amount Saved through Skill-Based Volunteering: The estimated amount your organization saved by posting Skill-Based Volunteering projects instead of hiring a freelancer. More on how Catchafire creates those estimates can be found here. If this value reads N/A for your organization, this may be due to your Catchafire access being sponsored by a different foundation or funder than Patagonia.
Average Amount Saved: The average estimated amount each organization on Action Works saved by posting Skill-Based Volunteering projects instead of hiring a freelancer.
Total Site Visitors: The total number of visitors to Patagonia Action Works within the bi-annual time period in question
Impressions: The total number of impressions on grantee content, boosted through paid Social Amplification.
Actions initiated on content through Social Amplification: The total number of clicks to organization landing pages content through paid Social Amplification.
