New Regulator® Wetsuits

Patagonia Regulator Wetsuit
Relentlessly Refined

We used thermal research, flush analysis and movement studies to update our wetsuits for higher performance. But you can leave the science stuff to the science people and go surfing.

Revised Size & Fit

Because the fit of a wetsuit is as important to your warmth as the material thickness, we’ve completely redesigned all patterns for unbridled mobility and a wider range of body types.

New U-ZIP Entry

Born from the design innovation of AXXE Wetsuits and refined through Patagonia’s technical approach, this unique entry system delivers superior comfort and minimizes water flushing.

Ironclad Guarantee

Backed by our Ironclad Guarantee and a wetsuit repair team committed to keeping you in the water.

New Regulator® Wetsuits

Science-informed redesign built for staying in the water as long as the waves keep coming.

    Science-Driven Thickness

Re-engineered thickness and density for intelligent warmth and maximum flexibility.

New heat-mapping construction runs the same thickness in the torso down through the legs, reducing heat loss without sacrificing performance.

Neoprene-free natural rubber wetsuits by the first company to make them.

Built for marathon and all-day sessionability.

Re-engineered thermal lining facilitates warmth and flex while remaining quick to dry.

Made with recycled fishing nets.

All internal and external fabrics are made with NetPlus® post-consumer recycled nylon from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution—a first in the wetsuit industry.

Proud to be neoprene-free.

We use natural rubber tapped from hevea trees that can produce for up to 30 years. It replaces conventional, nonrenewable neoprene. 85% natural rubber, 15% synthetic rubber by polymer content.

Rubber comes from FSC®-certified sources.

The raw rubber comes from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council® certified by Preferred by Nature™. Meaning the trees aren’t grown on newly clear-cut rainforest land, like some of the world’s supply.

Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.

Apparel workers are among the lowest-paid employees in the world. Partnering with Fair Trade USA means the people who make our wetsuits earn a premium for their labor.

Made with recovered carbon-black pigment.

Our wetsuits are also built using ingredients from old, retired Regulator® suits, another first for the wetsuit industry.
