Salmon Run: 30 Years in the Running
Sunday, November 15, at Patagonia HQ, Ventura, California
Registration and race details for the Salmon Run can be found here.
Patagonia is excited to announce the 30th Annual Salmon Run, to be held Sunday, November 15th, 2026. The Salmon Run is one of the largest and longest-standing running events in Ventura County where runners and community members alike join together to support and celebrate Ventura’s collective power to create positive change. This annual benefit event has raised more than $180,000 over the years for environmental non-profit groups working on important issues in our own backyard. We hope you can join us this year for a morning of fun and community.
As we continue into the 30th year, this year's proceeds will support Santa Barbara Channelkeeper, a local environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting and restoring the Santa Barbara Channel and its watersheds. For over 25 years, Channelkeeper has worked to ensure clean water, healthy habitats, and thriving communities from Point Conception to the Ventura River, from the Santa Ynez Mountains to the Northern Channel Islands. Through science-based advocacy, education, fieldwork, enforcement, and community engagement, Channelkeeper defends our community’s right to clean water and informs, inspires, and empowers people to speak and act for our waterways.
Channelkeeper leads a range of impactful programs, including water quality monitoring, marine protected area stewardship, pollution prevention, and watershed advocacy initiatives. Through hands-on volunteer programs, public outreach efforts, and collaborative policy solutions, Channelkeeper engages the community as active stewards of our coast and waterways.
Channelkeeper’s work is actively addressing some of our region’s most pressing environmental challenges. Channelkeeper has taken a lead role in protecting the region from the impacts of offshore oil drilling through strategic advocacy and legal action, including challenging the restart of Sable’s oil development operations along the Gaviota Coast. Channelkeeper is also working to safeguard public trust resources in the Ventura River watershed, advancing solutions that protect water flows for the benefit of wildlife and our communities.
