Grassroots Collaborative Program
Led by advisory councils made up of Patagonia employees and external experts, the Grassroots Collaborative Program awards $30,000 two-year grants to over 100 environmental organizations across the US. The goal of the program is to strengthen frontline communities driving change across the US.
Our Grassroots Collaborative Program is a pillar of Patagonia’s one percent of sales grantmaking ecosystem, complementing the Retail Partnerships Program and the Environmental Catalyst Program. Together, these three grantmaking programs support a suite of frontline and community-led nonprofits advancing Patagonia’s environmental priorities, built in partnerships and rooted in trust.
The Grassroots Collaborative Program operates through five councils, each centered around one of Patagonia’s environmental priorities: Healthy Lands, Healthy Waters, Agricultural Transformation, Climate Solutions and Thriving Communities. Each council awards 20 to 30 two-year grants.
Our grant applications are invitation-only. To put in a word for a nonprofit that you think should be invited to apply to the Grassroots Collaborative program, please share a few details here.
