Retail Partnerships Program
Led by retail employees, the Retail Partnerships Program advances community-driven responses to environmental issues by providing a $40,000 two-year grant and long-term partnership to one local environmental nonprofit. The goal of the program is to empower retail communities to show up as a partner and funder in the community they serve.
Our Retail Partnerships Program is a pillar of Patagonia’s one percent of sales grantmaking ecosystem, complementing the Grassroots Collaborative Program and the Environmental Catalyst Program. Together, these three grantmaking programs support a suite of frontline and community-led nonprofits advancing Patagonia’s environmental priorities, built in partnerships and rooted in trust.
Retail Partnership grants are awarded to organizations that work within the communities of our Patagonia Retail stores in the United States and Canada, and align with at least one of Patagonia’s environmental priorities. Our retail employees review grant applications and make funding decisions. In addition to funding, our retail teams serve as an active partner to each grantee, supporting long-term capacity goals and leveraging store resources when useful.
Our grant applications are invitation-only, but there are many ways Patagonia stores can support local nonprofits outside of grants. To learn more, please reach out directly to a local Patagonia Retail store.
