There’s hot and humid rain, frigid freezing drizzle and myriad forms of deluge in between—while experts agree that differences exist, at its heart, wet remains wet. Stay dry in our Stretch Rainshadow Jacket: it offers lightweight, packable, streamlined protection for a full range of motion in a full range of conditions. The waterproof/breathable, 2.5-layer stretch nylon H2No® Performance Standard shell has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish; the helmet-compatible hood has a laminated visor and a single-pull adjustment (it also rolls down and stows); and the watertight center-front zip and venting pit zips are DWR-coated. The single exterior left-chest pocket and two handwarmer pockets all close with watertight zips, minimal hook-and-loop closures seal the wrists, and a dual-adjust drawcord cinches the hem. The jacket self-stuffs into the chest pocket, with carabiner clip-in loop.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Weatherproof

2.5-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof, breathable and highly packable for backpacking, alpine climbing and backcountry skiing. They combine a water-repellent shell fabric with a waterproof/breathable membrane and a protective top coat barrier without needing a protective lining fabric. A raised print layer is applied to decreased layering friction and increase moisture management.

2.5-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabrics are coated with DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish that repels light rain and snow. In conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

All products bearing the H2No mark have been vigorously tested for durability in our 24 Killer Wash.

Men's Stretch Rainshadow Jacket is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For My Bike Rides. I bought this about a month ago and used it everyday as I rode my bike through the Province Lands of Cape Cod. It protected me from rain and even worked as a sunscreen. On chilly days I found that a simple base layer and this jacket were enough to keep me warm. It is versatile, has pockets, packs without taking much space and looks great. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product! Needed light weight small volume jacket to take on the trips (I'm a pilot). I have tried several jackets, this one just found a permanent place in my bag!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great packable shell Worn this out a couple of times, once hiking and once bike commuting. Seems to be good for urban-type expeditions, meaning an hour or so. Not sure if I would use a primary protection somewhere I was expecting day-long precipitation, but is an excellent jacket for the unplanned and unexpected. Great performance to packability ratio. Venting is nice, but only useful if don't have a backpack. The pulls are rather small and the double-zip action seems a little extreme (and makes it more difficult to use while in motion or with gloves on). Fit is nice, close but room for a little layering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My everything jacket I've been wearing the Rainshadow jacket xc and backcountry skiing, road and mountain biking, and climbing whenever the weather turns wet or windy. The pit zips rock, though the zipper pulls are a bit small for my big hands. Extremely lightweight, and breathable. Packs up into a small bundle that takes up very little space in the bottom of my pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Longer, lighter, bigger Returned an 11-year-old lightweight Patagoina shell due to a worn liner, and Patagonia's Ironclad warranty is real. Helpful store personnel pointed me to this replacement, which is longer and much lighter than my old one. And honored the warranty, so no cost to exchange. But was wearing a medium in the old, now an extra small! great technical jacket for endurance sports

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not A Great As Promised This jacket is extremely light, packable, and looks great. I found the sizing very nice too. However, it really is just a rain resistant windbreaker, not a raincoat. Mine wets out very quickly—and it's virtually brand new. With a fresh coat of DWR that might help the problem. But for the steep price I expected something exceptional. Look elsewhere if you want a true raincoat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light quick, easy, comfortable. Got this jacket because it could pack into itself for traveling. Been rocking it in the PNW all spring. Been able to handle the worst Spring on record in terms of precipitation. Breathable and stylish. I'm 5'11" 175 with a longer torso, the sizing runs a little big (regular fit) medium fits snug and stylish. Got the campfire orange so people could see me in biking in a rainstorm. Great product, better company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from versatile stretch jacket I purchased this jacket in March 2017 for use in varying conditions and it has performed wonderfully in all uses. It's light and can be worn over a fleece or light jacket. I have worn it golfing, hiking, and working in the yard. Needless to say, I love it.
