Born of shoulder-season belay duty and quick-hit ski tours, the Nano Puff® Jacket finds a home with any alpine climber or backcountry skier. Its wind-blocking, 100% recycled polyester shell sheds moisture and glides effortlessly in your layering system. Low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—with 55% postconsumer recycled content—traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The jacket has a sculpted fit, with narrow, horizontal quilting on the shaped side panels, and the soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort. An internal zippered chest pocket doubles as a self-stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. Details include two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for international travel I got this jacket mainly for travel. It is warm, lightweight and packagable down to the size of a pouch that fits inside my hand carries Or laptop backpack bag within making it crowded or bulky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small Updates Required I bought this as a midlayer for skiing as well as general wear. The only thing I am left wanting is for some stretch in the pit area, hybriding the sides would result in a bomb of a jacket, in my humble opinion. The other reason I gave 4 stars is that the fit was just a teensy bit snug, compared to the other Patagucci stuff I've purchased. The above said, this thing kept me so toasty warm on the coldest days on the slopes it was unreal. I ski in the Maritimes where minus 20 Celsius with a wind is not uncommon. I spent a week at Killington with some deadly crosswinds at elevation. Then there is Mont-Sainte-Anne where -35 is not uncommon - this baby under a layer of Gore-Tex with an underlayer was great. In fact, I stopped skiing with it at -10 or above because once I got moving it was just too much, even with the prospect of a chair ride. This thing fast became my everyday jacket for stuff around home, and it's killer for winter activities. It's typical of Patagonia workmanship and care of product release. Aside from my shell and a pair of powder pants, I buy all black for outerwear; which should sound like I am not trying to be fashionable. But if that's your bag I can tell you I've gotten more compliments on this thing than any other garment I own. Happy trails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great jacket bought this jacket on sale. Definitely my go to jacket in spring and late fall. Insulation is amazing and the weightless feel is awesome. More importantly, it breathes well esp in a poorly-ventilated and over-heated subway. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love and loss I had my Nano Puff for a few happy months of late spring cool camping and river trips. Sadly it was in a bag that fell off a trailer of boring gear a couple weeks ago. Looks like I need to buy another one now :-/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all weather insulating jacket out there Perfect multi-weather insulating jacket out there. Seems to have unique ability to sense what temperature it is and adapt. If it gets too warm you can stuff it in your pocket. If it gets windy and cold, does its job. Good to about freezing on its own. Great under waders, pretty much standard apparel for Alaska guides for good reason. Only drawback is not good in heavy brush due to exposed stitching, but put shell over it and fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! I bought this for my son who is going to spend the summer in the Boundary Waters in Ontario Canada. His first week there it snowed, and he told me that he used this jacket layered with a fleece underneath and his rain jacket on top and he stayed toasty warm. I love that this is a synthetic fiber since he will be canoeing all summer and that material is much better than down when you are around water. I am happy that he is happy with the purchase. My son is an athletic build, 5'11, 135 lbs. He is normally a size small but I got him the size medium because he wanted to have room to layer underneath. Even if he had gotten the size small the jacket would be a little roomy around the torso area, so this is definitely a "regular fit" but it perfect for my son's purposes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard To Believe How Warm This Little Thing Is This is a birthday present from my wife. Big points for her. I can't believe how warm this lightweight jacket is. Not sure how they do it but I never seem to get too warm in it. Every other lightweight jacket or hoodie I have makes me sweat at some point. Also the wind resistance or wind proofing is incredible. I tried it out on my motorcycle and it does a phenomenal job of blocking the wind. Only slight disappointment is how the rain quickly saturates the outer shell. Not a big deal to me. I didn't buy it as a rain coat but they kinda advertise it as rain resistant. I already snagged a thread loop. Luckily it didn't break. I just followed their instructions to pull it back into place. Funny my Mom taught me that trick when I was like 7. My zipper catches the inner liner on the way down. I just hold it away from my body as I pull it down. I know if I wanted to send it back they would send me a new one but I don't want to be without it until we're done traveling.
