bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Odor Resistant

Polygiene® odor control permanently protects your garments from smelling like a middle school locker room. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics, so you can wear more and wash less.

Active only on the fabric surface, Polygiene permanent odor control does not interfere with perspiration or with the skin’s natural bacterial flora. Polygiene particles are more than 100 times larger than nanoparticles and therefore are too large to penetrate to the skin’s barrier. Polygiene-treated fabrics have received Medical Class 1 approval in Europe, the same class that includes bandages.

Men's Short-Sleeved Nine Trails Shirt is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable shirt ever! I bought this shirt and like it so much that I bought two more in different colors. Fits well, super soft, holds its shape, and wicks moisture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nine Trails T has me on Cloud 9 Who knew a T-shirt could be sooooo comfortable? Not me. The Nine Trails is the perfect weight for 65+ temps - very light. You hardly know you're wearing a shirt. Totally feels like super-soft cotton. It does run one size small. I'm 6'0", 190-195 lbs, and a large usually fits me loosely. This shirt, however, fits snug in a size L. Thinking of buying several more in XL. Buy it - you won't be disappointed!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect T-Shirt I know you are thinking, "What's how could a plain t-shirt have such rave reviews and what could possibly justify the price?". Well my friend, Patagonia has invented the perfect t-shirt. There's a certain brand of underwear that reviewers claim to be made from "threads from the beard of God". Patagonia's ring spun polyester puts that material to shame. These shirts are so soft that they feel like cotton. However, I've worn these hiking with a heat index of 107F and there was not a drop of sweat soaked into the shirt. Moderate perspiration evaporates straight through this shirt. In addition, the fit is spot on - not too tight, not too lose. I'm 5'8, 155# and wear a small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best T-Shirt Ever This is by far the best T-Shirt I have ever purchased. It's easy to wear and super comfortable. I am just about to purchase 3 more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shirt! I bought two of these in the spring and couldn't be happier! They are soft as cotton and wick really well. I am 5'11" 170 lbs and a 42R with a 33" inch sleeve. I usually wear a size medium in all things Patagonia but had to go up to a large in this to make the shoulders and overall fit more comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking t-shirt ever No more synthetic shirts for warm weather. These shirts are so comfortable I bought two immediately and my wife bought another two. Absolutely feels like cotton. It dries super quick. It's really lightweight. It does run an entire size too small in my experience though. I usually wear Patagonia Mediums but the large fits exactly like a regular medium should. If you run or hike or bike or walk, you should buy this t-shirt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polyester never felt so good!! These are great shirts. For so long I've worn "wicking" shirts for active stuff and hated the way they feel, fit and look. This Spring I ordered two of these and I have pretty much stopped wearing all of my other synthetic T shirts. Just ordered two more. I have no idea how Patagonia made polyester this comfortable but they did. Almost cottony soft, they dry quick and look great. One thing is in general they do run small. I usually wear LG in Patagonia shirts but in these I wear an XL. I'm 6'2" and 185 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect hike T for my tall-ish skinny-ish husband My husband needed a synthetic tshirt for summer hiking (since cotton is slow to dry from rain/mugginess/sweat). He chose this shirt at a brick and mortar store, and it has turned out to be perfect in every way. The fit is great - especially the length - most brands' tshirts are too short and boxy, but this one is long enough and fits his long torso. The fabric feels cotton-y, not "slick" like some polys. The design and construction is above and beyond: arm gussets for full range of motion, the neck-to-shoulder seams are off-shoulder and won't rub under a backpack strap (tho I myself am partial to raglan rather than set-in sleeves), there is a tiny loop for hang drying. And it looks great on him, even after washing. I like this tshirt so much I just ordered some for myself in smaller sizes. My torso is too long for Patagonia's women's t's (and most other brands as well), so fingers crossed this is the solution for me!
