Cruise to the base of the route, rack up. Climb, belay, repeat until the post-climb beer—all in one jacket. Our Nano-Air® Hoody sets a new standard for technical insulation, merging the comfort and breathability of open fleece with the protection and warmth of a puffy. Its supremely stretchy and breathable fabric package combines a plain-weave liner, warm-when-wet FullRange® insulation and a lightweight yet durable, weather-shedding 100% nylon ripstop shell with DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The hoody has an incredibly soft, supple feel and full mechanical stretch (without moisture-holding spandex) that allow for a close, femininely sculpted fit over baselayers and an uninhibited range of motion. When the belay goes from chilly to downright cold, pull on a lightweight shell and the Nano-Air’s thermal properties skyrocket. The trim, stretchy hood is designed for next-to-noggin use, though it’ll still fit snugly over low-profile helmets. Two above-harness handwarmer pockets and two smaller chest pockets all close with trim, low-bulk zippers. The center-front zipper has a storm flap and zipper garage, while stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth.
  • Light yet durable 100% nylon ripstop shell and plain-weave liner offer generous mechanical stretch and exceptional breathability, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Revolutionary 60-g FullRange® insulation warms and stretches; combined with the shell and liner, this creates a jacket with excellent mechanical stretch and unprecedented air permeability (40-CFM)
  • Iconic Nano Puff® brick quilting in the side panels, articulated patterning and other quilting details improve shape and durability
  • Stretchy hood with binding pulls easily on or off head, even when jacket is zipped
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two handwarmer pockets and two chest pockets are zippered, welted and low-bulk to wear comfortably with a harness or pack
  • Stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth
  • Shell: 1.3-oz 20-denier 100% nylon ripstop. Lining: 2-oz 50-denier 100% nylon plain weave. Both shell and lining with mechanical stretch and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 60-g FullRange® 100% polyester stretch insulation
  • 334 g (11.8 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Women's Nano-Air Hoody is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for cool, windy days I bought this jacket about a month ago and I've worn it almost every day since. I live in the lower northeast so this is a perfect midlayer for colder days, but this jacket is great for when I'm out hiking or working. I work outside regardless of the weather so with unpredictable winds and rain the DWR finish has paid off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket and it's versatility I've worn this jacket almost every day since I bought it over a month ago. It's great for walking the dogs, snowbaording, layering under a shell, and carrying as an extra since it's so light. I did buy one size up as I usually wear it as an outer layer, it is a slim fit as advertized.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit Not quite as warm as I thought it would be. Not as warm as the down sweater. But...super cozy, flexible and I haven't yet worn it as a mid layer. I'm skiing next week in CO and I'll keep you posted!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit! I love that Patagonia makes things longer as the size increases. This jacket covers my wrists and is long enough to prevent a cold gap between pants and jacket. It can be hard as a tall person to find things that fit properly. The style is feminine, flattering and of course, functional!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm down alternative I wanted a hooded coat for layering under my Gore-Tex outer layer shell. I'm 5'8" 145 lb. with an athletic build. I bought a Large which is one size bigger than I usually wear because I wanted more flexibility in layering. The sleeves come down to my knuckles, which I love. I am long waisted and the hem reaches past my hip bones. It is incredibly light and warm with enough stretchiness for ease of movement. I have a 700 fill down jacket and the Nano-Air is noticeably warmer. I usually wear a base layer, cotton hoodie t-shirt and flannel shirt under the Nano-Air and I have no movement restrictions. I'm a bit clumsy and spilled coffee on it the other day. The coffee just beaded up and was easily wiped off without staining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, warm and so comfy! I debated between the nano air and the nano puff and am so happy with my Nano-Air. I was a bit worried as to how it would do in windy conditions, but have been pleasantly surprised. It has become my go to layer and is so comfortable I don't ever want to talk it off. Slim body fit with length in the torso and long arms - great if you're tall and skinny!
