We stand behind everything we make, including our wetsuits. But wetsuits require care if they are going to perform and wear the way they were intended. Patagonia is not responsible for wetsuits that are abused or show normal wear and tear over time. Scratches and fading are inevitable, as are tears from the occasional close call with a fin. Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Swimming I am 5'7" and 120lbs and bought a 6. Fits so water does not run through. I use it to swim at least 4000 yards per swim. I have no trouble and no chafing. I think you need to try a few sizes to make sure it works for you. It takes two pulls to get off. I have never owned a wetsuit that is easy to get off and fits the way it is suppose to. I am happy it works for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit! Great vest…Love the fit and keeps everything secure up top while surfing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought for Outrigger paddling I realize this is probably designed for surfing. I bought this for outrigger paddling on cold, windy days or when we make water changes on cold water days. It is comfortable and fits well except the arm holes are cut too high for paddling. Even though I am wearing a long sleeve Capilene underneath it to reduce chafing, I am getting some chaffing on the front side of my armpits. I wouldn't mind the waist being a bit longer, too. I wear a size 8.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not for swimming I ordered size 8 (5'7" 145#) which seemed to fit perfectly until I started swimming and it got baggy enough that water flowed right through it. Then, ironically, trying to take it off while it was wet was practically impossible! The zipper needs to be a few inches longer so you can take it off! (why not make it a full zip?). So I do not plan to use this again for swimming, but it might be good for kayaking or some other sport.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super comfortable for Outrigging paddling I bought this vest for outrigging paddling practice and races on colder/windy days. The vest's material is soft and light so its very comfortable to wear/paddle in, and i dont get too hot in it during practices/races. The vest is slim fitted and doesnt ride up like other patagonia vests I have from previous years . I do however, feel like a baywatch babe with my cleavage showing when I have the vest unzipped, and the zipper pull itself is a bit too bulky so if someone were to use this vest for prone paddleboarding, it would probably be uncomfortable. Overall I am very happy with the cut/design/comfort of the vest and would order it again.
