Comfy pull over
I bought this despite some of the reviews saying it shed a lot. So glad I did, it is perfect and comfy and warm. Sheds on everything
Was so excited for this fleece as it has great reviews and the yellow palm tree print is so cute, but it will not stop shedding on everything! Ive washed it a bunch of times and constantly use a lint roller on it but it doesnt help. Very disappointed considering how much it was and how great all my other Patagonia clothes are

I got this fleece from a local outdoor store and absolutely loved the color and fit. However, when I wore it even after washing I found myself covered in little fleece fibers. Yellow pattern is lovely, fleece is warm but I dont wear it as little bits of fleece go all over my pants and anywhere Im sitting. Thought washing and drying a couple of times would help but shedding hasnt improved at all. Unfortunate.
Hi Carrie, thank you for submitting this review. We're just sorry to hear this pullover is shedding excessively! Initially I had no idea that these shed fibers when you first buy them because Ive always thrifted mine and never had an issue. Looking into it, people said it would go away after about two washes. Do not buy Fall 2022 Oatmeal Heather fabric
I own a LW synchilla in Spring 2022 Oatmeal Heather and love it so much, thus decided to buy another exact color Oatmeal Heather with a different collar and pocket trim. It arrived as Fall 2022 model. I have only tried on and it left incredibly large amount of clear fiber (look like tiny plastics fiber) on my under shirt. After carefully comparing ... Read Morethe fabric of the Spring 22 model and Fall 22 model, though they are exactly the same Oatmeal Heather color, I found the fabric to be very different. The Fall 22 fabric has numerous embedded plastic fibers which are super easy to tell under light, and these plastic fibers will stay on your shirt and hard to come off. Patagonia - I totally support the motivation to use recycled plastics for Synchilla, but, please, do not sacrifice the quality of product.

Great, if you like rolling around in fiberglass insulation
I received a light grey one as a gift for my birthday in January. The fit is strange, as several have noted in their reviews. Really bulky, not form-fitting, strange elastic rib at the bottom, no way to wear a shell over it unless it is a size too big. But that wasn't my biggest issue. Right off, I noticed it was shedding tiny particles of pla... Read Morestic fleece--got into my eyes, made my face and neck itch--I thought I could even feel it going in as I breathed. Really what it reminded me of was messing around with good old fashioned rolled fiberglass insulation. Washed the shirt, no change. It transferred little fleece particles to the neighboring shirts in my closet. Contacted customer support and was told that after 3 or 4 washings and dryings, it should be fine. Wow, really? so I need to wash and dry a new garment that many times before wearing to ensure I'm not giving myself lung damage? What about the health and wellness of the people making these? Doesn't eco-friendly also apply to the water, soap, and power it takes to do all this? I get that it's made out of recycled plastic, but at what cost? Long story short, I returned for a merchandise credit. Unfortunately, this particular item and color is now on sale, so I have no way to buy something comparable unless I shell-out my own $ to make up the difference. What Patagonia doesn't tell you with the lifetime satisfaction policy--you're likely to get screwed without a receipt (or maybe you get screwed with one, too. I don't know). Several lessons learned.
Thank you for your review, Melissa. We're so sorry to hear that your Synchilla was shedding so terribly. Comfortable but sheds
I wore this with a black shirt underneath. It was covered in little fuzzies. I'm hoping with multiple washes the shedding of fabric will stop. Otherwise the fit is true to size. The style is awesome and its comfortable.
Hi Jovana, thank you for taking the time to write a review. You're absolutely correct, washing will help to mitigate shedding. However, if you think the shedding has become excessive, please feel free to begin a [return or exchange](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) at any time.
Looks nice for work
I work as a PE teacher and these things are great. They can make me look a bit more professional at work even though I am wearing leggings and running sneakers every day. Will keep buying if you put out XXL's. These have great second-hand resale value and hold up well. I wish these came in sizes XXXL and xxxxl for bigger women out there who may be pregnant or just need a bigger size as I have seen many women who are active who wear above an xxl or just need that extra room. Love the brand and can't wait for some more inclusive sizing. It's time to step up patagonia.
Wanted to love
I wanted to love this and I am so bummed I didn't. The fit is small. It was tight in my armpits and tight and the bottom of the sweatshirt. I always order a large and I have a large in the dusty mesa parka. The colors were great.

I love everything about this jacket except that the pattern I purchased sheds. I have washed and dried and it still continues to shed.
Thank you for this review, Michelle. Normally the shedding subsides over time and washing. If that shedding gets to be too much of a problem please feel free to [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) it under our warranty.
Love the style but the fabric sheds.
Would have loved to give it 5 stars since I love the style and fit a lot. But, the I am finding fibers on my arm rest of my car just from leaning on it. I was surprised at how much the fabric sheds. Also the arm and waist elastics are not as stretchy as past synchilla products I have had which was nice.
Hi Lisa, we're very sorry to hear about the trouble with shedding. Washing can help to mitigate this issue. We recommend laundering your fleece in cold water with a mild detergent, then machine drying on a low heat setting, or line drying.
Im usually an xs in Patagonia but bought this in a small on sale to wear for everyday, and Im glad! I can easily layer under it (though you wont really need to) and its super warm and comfortable. The cinched sleeves and bottom keep heat in but arent tight. definitely would recommend.
I wanted this to be really baggy so I went for a xl when I'm usually a medium. It is really big so I could have went for a large. I love it and it is exactly like the image.
Hey Eva, thanks for the review. If the Synchilla is still in new condition, you're welcome to begin an exchange for a size down on [this page](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html).
The cut was odd for my body. I do not like the stretchy banding at the bottom hemline. It causes the fabric to blouse out. And no pockets!
Thanks for the feedback, Tina. The elasticated bottom is part of the classic design of the Synchilla fleece, we're sorry to hear it didn't work out! Love it; a note about shedding
I love this thing -- extremely comfy, classic look, warm, and durable. I am 5'4" 135lb and I have owned XS, S, and M: XS is pretty fitted but comfortable, S is probably the best overall fit including a shirt layer underneath, M is comfortably oversized. However, here is my warning: this thing will shed fibers all over you and anything it comes into contact with for quite a number of washes. It will shed on some laundry too, so I wash mine with towels/sheets until it is tamed. It will shed fibers for more washes than you think. It is certainly worth it, and does stop after a while, but it is quite a while. Would absolutely still recommend, I just stick my new ones in with every towel/sheets load I do until the shedding has been conquered. Very worth the mitigation for a cozy pullover that I think might last forever.
Not like it used to be
I'm a huge fan of this fleece and was excited to see a new irresistible pattern (sisu brown). My husband bought it for me for Xmas and I was immediately underwhelmed. I can't emphasize enough how thin this fleece is compared to years past; you can see natural light through it and the lightest breeze cuts right through! Definitely not worth purchasing...
Hello Theresa, thank you for the review. We're very sorry to hear of your disappointment with this fleece. We're wondering if you might have had a different kind of Synchilla in the past, as this is our lightweight version. The top is attractive and
The top is attractive and comfortable but lacks pockets which was probably a cost-saving decision. Also, it's the first garment I've had from Patagonia that pills even though it was washed before I wore it.
Hi Fran, thank you for submitting this review. Some pilling with some garments can be inevitable, as it is the nature of those fibers. To help prevent further pilling we recommend washing your pullover either by hand in cool to cold water, or separately in your washing machine on the gentle cycle. It's best to lay it flat to dry rather than using the dryer. To remove pilling that has already occurred we recommend using a product like a fabric shaver, which is gentler on fabric than a sweater stone. Please let us know if we can be of any help!

My favorite go to is the snap fleece. I did order it a size larger than normal, because I wanted it to fit like my previous one. I had an old one that was unisex, (yep, I keep my stuff), but I finally gave it to a guy doing a gap year at a national park. Really regretted that donation , but he was the son of a good friend and needed good warm cloth... Read Moreing. So I waited, and got this one on sale! But I would have paid regular price. I have worn it several times already and hope its a cold spring ;). This keeps me from borrowing my husband's snap fleece. He is thankful.
Patagonia Sizes Have No Consistency
I bought the product in Size Small because I have several of the same items I'm small. It was too large so I exchanged it for an XS which was also too large so I purchased one in XXS which is perfect. Lack of consistency in sizing makes buying online a tedious process.
Great print, but thin fabric
I don't know why Patagonia is making all of their fabrics so thin these days, but I have several older synchillas which are my go-to winter shirts. while this one has a nice print, the material is substantially lighter and thinner, and the Medium which is what my other one are, is somewhat smaller. I ended up buying a large from another store.... Read More 0 for 3 so far. Step it up, Patagonia!
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T, Robin. We're sorry it was too light for your needs! We have made beefier Synchilla products for women in the past, but don't currently have them in our product line. We'll share this feedback with our product development team. In the meantime, if you'd be interested in a thicker fleece, you might check out our Re-Tool Snap-T Fleece Pullover or Los Gatos Fleece 1/4-Zip. Please let us know if we can be of any help!
Close to Perfect
For decades Ive loved Patagonia, but I find generally the cut of their jackets and fleeces to be unflattering for my body type. I have a petite frame with curves. The fit of the synchilla is mostly flattering given its boxy fit except for the arms which are disproportionally long. The fleece itself is high quality, a gorgeous neutral color, the per... I wanted to love it but I found the fit just a little bit off.
We're sorry to hear that the fit of this and other products aren't a great fit for you, but we appreciate the feedback. We hope the return to our warehouse or your local Patagonia store was easy and that you might soon find a [Spring 2022 fleece top](https://www.patagonia.com/shop/womens-fleece?page=2) that is perfect for you!
I ordered this to wear walking. The fabric is thinner than it used to be, it's VERY long, and should have fit me as I typically wear a L but wanted it to be roomy. It was way too long, very straight, and not very warm. Had to return.
Hey Delores, thank you for the feedback. This is a Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T, perhaps you had a different version in the past that felt thicker? If so, you're welcome to check out [these Worn Wear options](https://wornwear.patagonia.com/shop/search?q=synchilla). We add to inventory everyday, so if you don't see what you're looking for we recommend checking back. The Synchilla Snap-T typically has a regular fit, which does not sit very close to the body so that's something to keep in mind. If you wanted a slim fit, we recommend checking out the Women's Better Sweater 1/4-Zip Fleece.
Had really high expectations!!
I loved the fleece when it came in. Beautiful color and fit as described. The ONLY downfall is that the fleece shed everywhere. I wore a little while prior to washing and thought the shedding would be resolved after washing. It did not. It didnt get worse, but it definitely didnt get better. A little disappointed.
