First thing I noticed is this pull over is super soft. In the cooler autumn season, this shirt keeps me warm without even turning on the heater (indoor temperature is at the low 60s).
Usually, Patagonia medium size fits me well. This one feels a bit tight at under arm area. The crew neckline feels tight because of the elastic material around the bo... Read Morearder. The neckline is also a bit low so my upper body feels warm except my neck; it's kinda weird .
In short, I like the pull over crew to keep me warm but occasionally I put a scarf around my neck.
Compared to the quarter zip fleece tops this fits small. A size medium can sometimes fit big on me but this top in that size just fits. I might get another one in another color and I'll go up to a size large for sure. Otherwise I love it. Super warm and very comfortable.
I love how soft and practical this sweatshirt is. Regardless of having been warm and washed multiple times, it is just as soft as the day it arrived. Also, it is very warm. I don't hesitate to wear it as an outer layer on slightly chilly days. Additionally, it breathes very well and acts as a great insulator without getting too hot or sweaty.
I am not entirely sure why its so narrow in the shoulders (and I by no means have wide shoulders) however there is plenty room in the torso. Definitely an odd fit, because arms fit like medium, torso fits like medium and shoulders fit like small. I have to wear it without any base layer otherwise you feel like it will explode at the seams.
We're sorry to hear the fit isn't quite right in the shoulders and we appreciate your feedback. Too tight
Fits VERY tight! Im only 5ft 9in / 160 lbs and ordered a medium. Im not sure who this is for. It makes you look like some fur trader from days gone by. Maybe thats the intent?? I laughed when I looked in the mirror In any case, it was a quick decision to return!
Hi Marshall! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry to hear about the disapointment with the fit and style of the pullover. We appreciate your feedback, and your comments have been shared with our design team.

Not sure who this was designed for...
The neck scooped very low in a super unflattering way and for a Patagonia Small it did not seem right. It hugged the body very tightly. I'd skip this one.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review and we are very sorry to hear about the disappointment with the fit of this pullover. Please know you are always welcome to reach out to our Customer Service Team before placing your order so we can give you the most accurate measurements and ensure you have the correct size. Perfect balance of jacket and sweater
I've been looking for something like this for a long time. This is a super comfy, warm but breathable, excellent light fleece jacket + sweater in one. It's great as a heavy base layer with a capilene undershirt but is also great to throw on as an outer layer. Throw a rain jacket over it and its an unbeatable combo for being out in light s... The sweater looks nice, lightweight, and definitely cozy. The tricky part about it is that it runs small and very snug! All my Patagonia sweaters are small so I went with the same size but this one runs differently and is not true to size; felt like a women's small. To each his own but it's definitely too snug of a fit for me as my movements were a bit restricted. Save yourself the hassle and size up. Other than that, you can't hate Patagonia products as they definitely have the best quality out there! Not to mention their amazing mission and top-notch customer service. Would definitely recommend it!
I usually wear medium Patagonia but I bought small for this item because I need tight fit fleece for after swimming or surfing in winter time.
Super warm for sure!
I purchased a large and was to snug. I failed to read Patagonia's recommendation of buying a size up. I had to return it, but they were sold out of XL. I cried and then had to get over it.
My circa '96 Micro-Fleece Sweat Shirt/ Pull-over is beginning to age from a lifetime of:.. in the back of the truck, pull it on for the ride home.. Sorry it didn't work out for you, MIchael! Looks like you already [returned](https://help.patagonia.com/s/topic/0TO1L0000002yyTWAQ/returns-exchanges) it, but we recommend you take a look at our [fleece tops](https://www.patagonia.com/shop/mens-fleece?prefn1=fit&prefv1=relaxed&start=0&sz=24#tile-3) that have a "relaxed" fit like that older style you're trying to replace. Purchased this to replace a 20+ year old Patagonia Fleece that has traveled the world and fished a lot of streams. While this new one is not quite as well built, hopeful to get 10 years out of it.
Sweatshirt fits great and looks even better! The weather is too hot to wear now, but I can not wait to wear it all winter long and particularly by the campfire.
Bought a Large, though typically I am a Medium in everything I buy from Patagonia. It is a bit large on the fit for my liking. Though I’m not sure a Medium would have fit right either based on the reviews.

This fleece is incredibly soft and warm, and dries out relatively quick! I purchased the "sediment" color that looked more brown to my eyes on the website, but in person I feel it is more on the green than brown. Love it regardless!
A little baggy to be used for climbing (hard to see feet) and the high pile hangs onto a lot of small seeds, twigs, and small natural matter, but that's where my complaints end. This shirt is great by itself down to 50 degrees F and when combined with a puffy great to below freezing. It's so warm and cozy! Had to size up.
I really like this sweatshirt so far. My plan for it is so use it as an outer layer for wind free camping nights, and possibly as an insulation layer over base layers with a hard shell in more extreme conditions. This isn't something I would push hard, but with my use level I'm not expecting to have wear issues. I typically wear a large i... I originally bought a Small as that’s my size in almost all Patagonia clothing, but I had to return this crew for a Medium. The Small fit well without an undershirt, but felt very right in the arms with a shirt on.
Can’t say enough how comfortable and warm this material is though!
