Maybe not great right away, but with repeated wear, becomes amazing rather than falling apart. The sleeves seem a tad long, but better long than short. I order size small in Patagonia mid-l... This item is listed as unisex, so be aware when ordering. I received as a gift and the size is listed as large but that is a men's size- for women its actually an XL. I washed in hot water and dried it and still a little big but super cozy and warm! Took to the mountains and was warm enough to not have to wear a jacket as well
I ordered this hoodie in anticipation of cooler weather. It's heavy weight and made well. Looking forward to the weather changing so that I can use it!
This is a nice hoody. While the matching pants run extremely large, the hoody seems to run true to size. Great material and nice relaxed fit. Definitely on the warm side, so better for cool weather.
The hoodie is heavy material and just what I wanted except its small in me. My arms are long for it and its a little snug. I based the size off the chart and reviews. I am 68 inches tall and almost 130 lbs.

Cool / Retro - Cozy
Love the Retro look of the Sweatshirt. I didn't realize how thick and soft it would be until I got it in the mail. Soooo happy. . . . I love it so much I want to order the matching bottoms.
This is a heavy cotton thick sweatshirt that will only get better with age. Just BEWARE- the sizing is for men - NOT WOMEN! I usually wear a size small in women's tops, I had to order an XS because this is unisex sizing which translates to man's sizes. Did the exchange and love it.

I love the hoodie, it's comfortable, has a good medium weight and seems to be made well. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it was not offered in a Tall, so it's a little short on me. Some of us tall guys, need a tall fit to be comfortable.
Fabric weight is perfect for a cool morning/evening sweatshirt with hood. Sleeve length is good for reaching and not leaving wrists exposed. Length is long enough to not ride up when working overhead. All in a perfect sweatshirt/hoody.
The material is quite tight for a sweatshirt. Its tough to put it on over a tshirt. And for a woman, the design is very straight so it ends up bunching around the waist and bust. I wish it had more give and breath ability.

My husband kept it!
So I LOVED this sweatshirt but I think maybe I am too old or too small to wear a unisex sweatshirt? Or just did not like the look? It looked like I was wearing my husbands sweatshirt which is a cute look for some but for me it just did not work. However, my husband happens to be a fairly small guy (5 ft 9 in and 140 Lbs) and it looked great on him.... Read More So he took it. Kind of ironic in a way! Its a great sweatshirt and I would love it in a womens cut. Its heavy and soft and I really like the color. I guess I will end up borrowing it!
Delicious thick gonna-last-forever cotton hoodie. Only drawback is that the neck is a bit too tight to make pulling over my average-head feel easy and natural. Definitely never going to put it in the dryer.
The fabric is high quality, and soft inside. I know this hoodie will keep me warm for years to come. The men's sizing is a Medium, I'm usually a size 10 women's and it's a comfortable fit. Take note that the neck opening is not large, so I have to take my glasses off to put the sweatshirt on or off.
I'm 6 foot and 150 lbs and I like the fit. a lot of sweatshirts are made for people that are a lot heavier than me. I like the hole size for the head and the length of the sleeves. The only thing I think could be better is the cuffs on the arms. they are really loose and I'm sure will get looser with age. since I sometimes wear a sweatshi... I dont fault Patagonia but the stripes on the hoodie came a little scuffed in some areas of the line. Its barely noticeable but for the price I paid I would expect nothing less than perfect. Comfy though!

Super Warm and Comfortable
I was looking for a warm casual indoor hoodie. This one is great! Got a size larger than needed to fit other clothes under, but stay warm with just a t-shirt under this.
The cut at the waist line was so short it made the top balloon out. Did not like it. The material was too stiff. Not like my other Patagonia sweatshirts. I have tons of other Patagonia products that I love.

Soft and tough
I love the fabric, and the pattern is cute. The neck hole is a little tight.

Patagonia really has the best gear. I've got hiking gear, snow gear, and tons of bags. All great well made stuff. This sweatshirt/hoodie is comfy and well made. I've got 4 of them.
Although I have had only worn my hoodie a couple of times it is heavy weight, super warm and comfortable. I ordered big to wear layers but it is so warm that I probably wont layer. It also has a long torso which covers my backside. I can cast all day without it riding up under my waiters.
Got a medium which is what I usually wear for shirts and hoodies. Personally, it fit very tight around my torso and was short. I was able to do an easy exchange and got a large. It fits better but it is baggy. Not a form fitting hoodie. Great look, great quality!
We saw this while shopping at the Patagonia store in Bend, and while we didn't buy it then, I surprised my son with it for Christmas. He is almost 6' and about 145 pounds. I have only had this hoody for a short time, but I don't recommend it. I have washed it three times and it pills so bad.... looks like I have owned it for years. Not impressed Patagonia!

So warm and cozy!
Last season I bought the brown one and liked it so much I bought it in plume grey this season!
The fabric feels so soft and has all the high durability details you can expect from Patagonia. The heathered fabric looks great. I expect to wear this hoody for a long, long time.
This hoodie is so comfortable and well-made. As a large, it is roomy without being overly baggy and cumbersome and not tight in any places. The sleeves are a great length and the cuffs don't stretch out. Excellent choice!
I had been looking for a hoody for a while and this is exactly what I wanted. It's thick enough to be warm but allows for comfortable movement. The fit is perfect & I appreciate the simple style. It's great for wearing around the house or for casual hangouts.

Not the same
Smaller size, thiner fabric, not like the other patagonia hoodies I own. Kinda disappointed.
I wear a lot of hoodies and this one became my favorite one instantly. It fits right, not too baggy not tight! I am always cold and this one is very warm. I am about 172lbs and broad shoulders

I bought this for my partner who usually wears a size small in patagonia fleeces. The sweatshirt itself fits, but the neck opening is so tight - to the point where he had to take his glasses off to pull his head through.
The colors are amazing, but the fit and weight left a lot to be desired. I'm 5ft 6in and weigh 145 with an athletic build. The sleeves were too long and too baggy. I have a lightweight P6 logo zip hoody that fits great for comparison. The fit plus the weight for life in FL just doesn't work for me unfortunately.

very comfy
This is a mid to heavy weight sweatshirt that hugs the neckline to keep out cold and wind. This means it's a little tight coming over the head but once on, it's a great fit. Very well made and I expect it to last a very long time.
Bought this for my husband, hes 170 & 510 the med fit great. This hoodie is wonderfully thick! My husband almost had me send it back thinking it would be too warm. Personally Im jealous and wondering why the womens hoodie doesnt come in the wonderful thick fabric since we tend to run colder.

My new favorite
Great hoodie, comfortable fit and fabric. Looks great on. Really happy
This is the first sweatshirt I have owned in many years, but when I saw it on sale I thought I'd try it. I now wear it every morning to take the dogs out. It is very warm, very comfortable, and I think it looks pretty good as well. I should mention that the opening for the head is a little small, but that does help keep drafts out.
This is a great hoodie! It's made with thick material that I know will last a long time, and I wear it nearly every day. My only complaint is that the neck hole is *really* tight. My favorite sweatshirt
So thick and warm! I love the colors too. Im a Womens size medium, so I bought a Mens medium for a comfy, oversized fit.
The fit is true to size although a bit snug at neck-line. Product wore very poorly with pilling on sleeves after 1 washing and line dry, six or seven wearings.

Pilling
This is super warm however looks old and worn after first wash due to fabric pilling. Disappointed ️
Nice quality , thick and lined inside is so warm. Green color is great. I like it.
I got it for my husband but he couldnt wear It. Because neck line is so small and its hard to wear. So now it mine. But I felt same way.
Ive owned about 3 million hoodies in my life, but only recently purchased a Patagonia hoodie. Its got some weight to it, which I love, and it is incredibly comfortable. Warmer than any hoodie Ive ever owned. Just great quality all around!
I originally bought one for my husband and liked it so much I bought one for myself. These are a thicker sweat shirt, they've been great on cold January days.
I got this after getting the same style in the pant. I was so happy with the comfort of the pants that I HAD to get the hoody and it does not disappoint!
My teen sons new favorite hoodie. The XS is a perfect fit for him. He receives compliments on the hoodie every time he wears it. The pattern is sweet and it is SO soft inside.
I like the design and that is made from recycled material. My issue with the sweatshirt and matching sweatpants, is that after 2 wearing's the material began to pill.

To prevent pilling, we recommend washing that item either by hand in cool to cold water, or separately in your washing machine on the gentle cycle. It's best to lay it flat to dry rather than place it in the dryer where the fabric can easily get abraded.

Well Made, Comfortable
This is my go-to hoody. Breathable but warm, super soft, and the extra large hood is especially nice on windy days. I find the sweet spot for wearing it is between 40-50°F and even lower temperatures if worn with an insulated vest. All around great hoody!
Generous fit, plush interior and durable exterior with some cool striping thrown in for looks. Very satisfied and I can tell I will get a lot of mileage out of this one. A new favorite for sure.
Poor quality - the graphics on the front of the sweatshirt started to peel off after the first wash, and I didnt even put it in the dryer. Ive been wearing Patagonia for over 30 years, and this is the fist time I have ever given a negative review regarding quality of the materials used in their clothing.

Great hoodie! Super warm
I typically wear a size large but it was a tad too small
Im a hoody guy, and this thing has rocketed into the #1 spot of my closet. It fits true to size, looks good, and most of all is the most comfortable hoody I now own. The key is the amazing lining. It just hugs you like youre curled up in a blanket on the couch. The only downside is having to take it off to get washed XD
I love this hoodie! The hoodie has a thicker feel to it, the hoodie has a nice weight to it, and the retro design is pretty cool. My favorite feature is how soft the inside is: the lining is truly a soft, brushed sweatshirt fleece. I mention this because a previous hoodie I got from Patagonia was super stiff and the lining was not soft at all. But ... Read Morethis one is the opposite.
I have a 39" chest and the size medium is a perfect: not tight nor too loose.
