As advertised this material shouldve been perfect to wear in the sun. As a high altitude fly fishing guide, I found it to be too warm for me. The material didnt breathe. Ill wear it in the fall- but the color will be wrong - please make shirts in browns and neutrals for women.
We appreciate this feedback, Frances, especially coming from someone who is really putting our gear to good use. For warmer days you might look into our lighter [Capilene Cool Daily](https://www.patagonia.com/search/?q=w%27s+capilene+cool+daily&lang=en_US) fabric. We'll share your feedback about color options with our design team as well.

Great for golf
I used this beautiful and comfortable top for golfing on a very warm sunny day. I was able to play easily, stayed cool and did not keep me from making a big golf swing. Love it.
YES! Love the new colors!
This is by far one of my most favorite shirts ever made for sun protection! From long approaches in the mountains to hang time at the beach, this shirt has saved my sensitive skin more times than I can count!

The only issue I take with this shirt is that the newest design no longer has the full hood, which has felt essential for full face coverage in intense prolonged sun exposure, as well as snow and water glare...not to mention mosquito protection! haha! I will give this new design a shot, but please consider bringing back the hood?? I love it so!
Thank you, Patagonia!
It's a chronic search for the perfect summer shirt for life in Southeast Alaska. You need something that can keep the gnats/noseeums out, doesnt snag walking through devils club and brush, doesnt stain with fish blood, and can still look good for days at a time. This. Is. It.

I want one in every color.
Love the fit and softness of this shirt. I needed a shirt for hiking the arches and needed good sun protection but also something that would look nice while I hike. This shirt fits my needs! I am thinking of buying another color. Few color choices though.
The shirt alone fits fine and is tts as long as you do not want the neck cover to be high. The issue with the neck cover is that it does not stay up high unless it is uncomfortably tight...and this was just trying it on, not running, hiking steep terrain, or cycling. My goal in purchasing this product was neck protection. And while it might be due ... Read Moreto the shape of my head/face, I suspect others will encounter the same difficulty with the neck cover staying up during active use, especially. I am returning this product, unused due to this design issue. For anyone wanting these features, I highly recommend an alternate Patagonia product: item # 41935...the w's tropic comfort hoody...it has a mechanism to keep your neck well covered, and it stays up. It is the best (also tts).
First, they need to get rid of the pocket. They don't show any photos of it, but they used a large clunky zipper and placed the pocket high on the side along the ribcage. Even credit cards bang against your side when running and anything larger smashes into your hand/arm.

Read Morenning to avoid using so much sunscreen, but the fabric is a bit thick to try and breath through, you can't drink easily, and any adjustment of the neck cowl causes earphones to fall out. It is kinda doable to cover your ears but not your mouth, but it works much better if you just want to hike or walk and have it cover your nose and ears as it does an awesome job at keeping away any gnats/flies! This won't work well in cold weather if you have glasses because your breath will just come straight up underneath and fog things over immediately.
I do absolutely love the longer sleeve length and longer rounded hemline of the style. I wish more of Patagonia's products offered this.
