perfect little bag
i've had this bag for 4 years and use for literally everything. i wear it crossbody and it fits perfectly that way. big pocket fits my wallet, phone, coin purse and gum. little pocket fits a chapstick and my earplugs. i've taken it to festivals and clipped a full hydroflask to the strap. i love this little bag with my entire heart.
Not for plus size people!
I was so excited about this cute little bag and tried to put it on and it was way too tight. It says one size fits all, but apparently it doesn't fit womens size 18. Unfortunately this will have to be returned :/
Hi Meredith, we're sorry the strap of this pack didn't fit you better! We are getting feedback that 36" may not be long enough to be practical for many customers or many ways of wearing the pack. Nice easy bag for quick trips
This little fanny pack is a quick and easy bag for short trips around the neighborhood or out to do errands. It fits my phone, wallet, sunglasses, and a snack. Too small to wear crossbody
The strap is too small to wear crossbody, which is the primary way I intended to use this product. I am 6ft tall, average build. I first used this hip pack to accompany me on a multi day backpacking trip in the Eastern Sierras as my backpack didn't have any hip pouches for storage. This lil baby came to the rescue! This bag catfished me.
I like this hip bag and I'm mostly happy with it but that said, I was hoping to replace my coveted old worn out bag with a fresh one but at some point in the last 7 years Patagonia changed the design for the worst. But that said, I'll still use it because it gets the job done and looks good. If you liked the functional three compartment design of the og bag, you'll be disappointed. If you never had the og bag, you'll probably enjoy this one.

Perfect size, not so perfect strap
I love the size, shape & weight - fits my iPhone Max, plus other things like cash, credit card, key fob, etc. Fun colors! My only complaint is the darn strap.. The strap material is silky, so Im constantly tightening it. I also wish the strap was a bit thicker to better support the weight of my phone.

The Ultralight mini hip pack is the perfect size for casual wear, working, and hiking. Nice little bag, but scrawny strap
The bag itself is excellent, but I'm not thrilled with the strap -- it's so thin and weak that it doesn't really support the bag well, whether I'm wearing it around my waist or as a crossbody. It's a real design flaw.

Small waist strap

Great little pack
I am really enjoying the ultralight black hole mini hip pack. No more bulging pockets with keys, phone, wallet, etc... Highly recommend. I do wish there was a little bit more padding at the buckles as it does rub a bit, but a very minor detail in the overall function of the pack.

The small size and light weight is good for a day of sight seeing while traveling; holding basic minimal amount of items. The size of the pack is easily hidden under waist length tops if you want. However the waist strap tails do not stay in place as the loop slides around. Fix that and it goes from good to very good.
Thanks for your valuable feedback, Cindy!
I was looking for something small and lightweight that I can take hiking and traveling to carry the basics, wallet, phone, chapstick etc. This works perfect for a short walk or hike or as a simple substitute for a purse when you don't need all the extra and want to free your hand, plus it's cute!
Small but mighty
I had been searching and was glad to find this small hip pack. It is big enough for phone, wallet, keys, chapstick, sunglasses. Good secure strap. I hope it will be shower resistant, tho it would be easy to hide it under a rain jacket. Also useful for quick trips in town, slung over shoulder. Pleased with this purchase.
The strap would not extend enough for me to wear this as a cross body. I gave it to my 13 yo daughter and it is a bit small on her. Quality is great! And the size of the compartment was just what I was looking for, just needed to be able to extend the strap more.

Belt is too small to fit
Belt is too small to fit me, small bag but was what I wanted. Just too short to actually fit me.
Hi Dylan, we're very sorry to hear that the belt isn't working out on the Ultralight Black Hole Mini Hip Pack 1L. Please feel free to begin a [return or exchange](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) at any time.
The PERFECT hip/fanny pack!
I was looking for a small hip/fanny pack that I could use every day -- as small as possible while having space for the essentials. This one is just the right size to carry a small wallet, phone, keys, and a few other small items (mints, tissues, chapstick). It's super-lightweight, and I love the multicolor design, too! I don't NEED anothe... Read Morer one, but I may not be able to resist!
Small and needs sizing info on listing
I like this waist pack and took a risk in ordering even when there was no belt length information on the listing. The most you can extend the belt is to about 41inches, so if your waist measures more than that it will not fit you. I barely fit me, so i kept it. However, i can't wear it across my chest for a casual look because it's too s... Read Moremall. I have used it for a week while traveling and the belt already looks worn and a little distressed. The bag itself it's a decent size, the dimensions are listed so i knew it would be small. It would be great if the bag is a bit bigger and the belt were better and longer.

Love the colors
I absolutely adore my hip pack! I love the colors and the size is perfect! my phone (iPhone 12 Pro) fits in perfectly and it still has space after putting my phone! I use it almost every day. Walking my dog, going to the store/running errands, kayaking/canoeing, hiking and so much more!
A great product that serves as a personal medical crash kit.
I purchased my Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Mini Hip Pack for medical reasons, primarily. As a type 1 diabetic of four decades, I wanted a belt or hip pack where I could specifically and safely carry insulin, syringes, insulin pens, an extra continuous glucose monitor (CGM) insert, my CGM reader, a backup glucometer, and a Kind Bar or some Clif ... It affords ample storage space for my needs for these items whether on the trail, my bike, or just out and about on the town. It is a joy to have my medical items, meds, and related devices stored neatly and ready rather than having to dig into a briefcase or backpack to locate them.
This is a joke
I am frankly shocked. I certainly expected more from Patagonia. I thought the product was perhaps a joke. I can fit a set of keys in this bag but nothing else. Its good for a very small child but otherwise its ridiculous. Not worth my returning. First time I was annoyed with a product from Patagonia. I otherwise totally support the company. Unclear... Pros: .Light. Super light .packs small af .well constructed .convenient clip-on Cons: .hard to say b/c its as advertised. I use it as a day trip baggy to put a few necessary items and go. Could even use when I go bike riding. ..if I MUST write a bad thing it would be to improve the plastic clip cuz it feels cheap?
Perfect Waist Pack for My Life!
I wanted a waist pack that was not too big, not too small, but just right to hold essentials: keys and critical cards in front pocket, then phone, pen, a few bills, and a hankie in the main pocket. Nothing more. It's perfect. I put it on in morning and take it off at night - that perfect!
Straps too small
The straps were too small for me to have around my waist. They were too small for me to even sling around my body without feeling constricted.
Thank you so much for writing this review and we are so sorry about the small straps. We will make sure to pass this along to our Product Designers. In the meantime, please feel free to start your [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) at any time.
The size of the bag was what I wanted, but the waist strap is way too short- I think I measured a total length of 34 inches. I like to wear as a cross body- it was practically under my chin. I am a full sized gal- forget about wearing around my hips! Too bad, because they are cute bags. Sent it back.
