Very Odd Measurements
I am 5'6 and 145 lbs. My waist is 28" and I normally wear a 28" inseam as well. Now, i am quite used to my proportions making it difficult to find a pair of pants that fit properly and these are no exception. Since my legs are naturally short, I ordered the "short" version. After opening the package, the tag on them says ... Read Morethey are 28/30 (which I would've preferred to see on the website rather then after already receiving them). However, the bottom of the legs have the ability to hook underneath my heals they are so long. Idk if they were just mistagged or if they really are just that long. I cant imagine what a regular length would fit like. Not only that, but even with the legs so long, the crotch is EXTREMELY tight. The pants sit directly where they are supposed to and are a perfect fit around my waist, but they are extremely uncomfortable just because of how tight they are in the groin. They also are very wide at the bottom and those with an athletic build as myself will find them tight in the thighs, but extremely loose around the ankles (as well as the excessive bulk length). While the material and build quality are great (as can be expected from Patagonia) I would not recommend these to someone with my same proportions.
Great fit, comfy, but not durable
I bought these for work. I sit/stand at a desk, and spend time in meetings, so these pants don't really take a beating. The most they go through is a 2 mile bike commute. After 9 months they wore through in multiple places. Great fit, comfy, look nice and professional, but sadly not durable.
Nice pants, but the new ones run baggy
I have an older pair (about a year or two old) of these pants, which i love, so decided to get a fresh pair (same size: 34W/30L, Short): the new one turned out to be larger/ longer: not by a lot but just enough to make it baggy, which doesn't work for me.

Great material, not great sizing
The pants are of excellent quality, but unfortunately my thighs are too large to fit into the 32x30 size. I've always had this problem choosing pants as a life as a swimmer has left my thighs a weird proportion with the rest of my body, definitely not Patagonia's fault. Shame because I was really excited about these pants.
Great pants! A little long
I love the look and feel of these pants. They have a great look for both casual wear and office work. I have owned these before and they do not disappoint, with one exception. Im a relatively shorter guy at 5 6 and need a 30inseam. In the past these have fit like a glove, but they seem to be longer now. I wish Patagonia would accommodate us shorter... My go to pants!
My wife got me these pants as a gift several years ago and I now own three pairs (all three colors). I'm not a super tall guy, so the short version is what I need, but they are still a little long. These have endured a whole lot of use and are still holding up very well! Fit was perfect until I lost 15# recently, but a little tighter belt acti... Read Moreon and they're still great. Great pants. Slowly becoming my go to pants around the town. Perfect fit and just enough stretch (thank you for finally adding about 2% stretch to your pants). So good of pants I bought a second pair. Only thing Id add is possibly a gusset crotch. Overall I love these pants and the gray color is awesome. Thanks Patagonia for once again making a gre... Light weight twill tight cut, long in "short"
I ordered 34 by 30 (length).- the short. The length is about a 32+. The twill is a light summer weight. I have not had the length fixed, so I cannot review how I like wearing them.
Thank you for your review on our Performance Twill Jeans. Please note, we have access to measurements in customer service, so feel free to reach out any time. We double checked on the measurements for these pants and the short should have a 30.5" inseam. It sounds like you may have received defective product, if you also feel that this is the case please [reach out to us](https://help.patagonia.com/s/) so we can send you a replacement pair.
Great but leg opening is too wide.
The one deal-breaker for me is that the leg opening is too wide. The size 30 waist has a 15.5" inch leg opening and -- given I own a few diff brands of 'slim' fitting jeans -- that's on the wider end of the spectrum. I think 15" would be more reasonable or even a 14.75". I understand Patagonia is an outdoor apparel bra... Read Morend and so you need the overall roominess to be greater to enable greater mobility, but I think 14.75-15" would be the sweet spot of being mobile while also being smart-looking and appropriate for a casual setting. That's the deal-breaker for me. What's awesome about the pant: - great material: soft, light, stretchy, and durable - fit: waist is mid-rise, trim but not form fitting through thigh and calf.
Thank you for your review on our Performance Twill Jeans. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the leg opening of these pants. We double checked our records and the leg opening for the size 30 should come in at 15.25". We'd be happy to discuss with you what you were planning on using the pants for, to find you an alternative with a more preferable leg opening measurement. Feel free to [reach out to us](https://help.patagonia.com/s/) so we can talk!
Great pair of slacks but MAKE SURE YOU GET SHORT
I'm a little taller than 6" (like 6' .5'). With all Patagonia pants, for some reason the regular runs insanely long. Like if you're shorter than 6'1", make sure you get short. I love everything about these pants! Fit, material thickness, stretch... just to name a few. They are sleek enough to pass as dress pants but technical enough that they can handle a day outdoors. These are finely constructed and finished pants. Riveted and double stitched where appropriate. Stitching is accurate and neat. Fabric is a fine, tight weave twill. Light in weight but sturdy. I was excited to get these. Reviews indicated odd fit and sizing but took the risk. I ordered 34 based on fit reviews, tho I am 33 . Should have ordered 33. Read Moretle but not enough. I feel like Patagonia should be able to do a little better in fit. On the plus side, the grey looks nice and the feel of fabric is fantastic.
My new every day pant.
Seriously love these pants. Super comfortable, I wear them when going for hikes along the coast, riding my bike, or just relaxing around my home and town. I'm 5'11" and 180 lbs, and the 33 short was perfect for me. I'd be pretty stoked if they made this pant in a dark brown (hint hint).
Great fabric/tight crotch
I love the fabric theyre made from. It stands up, wicks water if theres a spill and its cleaned quickly. Miss the Straight Fit All-Wear Jeans (Style 56095)
Bought these thinking they would be similar to the Straight Fit All-Wear Jeans (Style 56095). This new pair is shinier, has a baggier fit, is heavier and seems to run long. I really miss the old style and wish they would bring them back. Will be returning these.

Great pants but size down
These are awesome pants and once I got the right sizing I only have good things to say about them. I originally ordered 32x32 (regular length) but they were way too long on me. Comfortable, but wear shows
I've had the men's performance twill jeans in forge grey for about four months. They're super comfortable, true to size, and have performed well as casual/work wear and on short cool-weather hikes (day pack or less required). However, in the last few weeks, big light-colored wear spots have developed on the knees. At first I thought ... Read Moreit was chalk/dust and treated the pants with extra detergent, but after several wash cycles it's apparent that it's just from wear and tear because it's the same light color as the pressure point on the zipper. Loved the material, the fit wasn't great
I really WANTED to love these twill pants. I did love the fabric & material. It fits great in the waist and thigh area (snug but that's exactly how I wanted it, not too loose). Short Sizes Need More Colors
I'll start by saying I really like these pants. Love the look and fit. The rain-shed is a nice bonus. I've always been a size 32x32. But the "regular" 32 length on these jeans are stupid long. OK, but not as good as what they replaced
These are the replacement for the straight fit all wear jeans. They are made of a much heavier material, and longer in the crotch, so they bag a bit. Still OK pants, but the straight fit all wear were cooler, lighter, and fit better. These are pretty average twill pants. The old ones were unique and outstanding.
I like these pants, but these are not size 30 in length, and I will need to go to a tailor to get the pants shortened if I want to wear these pants around the house with no shoes. I feel like these could transition from an active day of travel/exploring to a night on the town really really well. I'll probably be ordering some more. I'm a taller guy with a longer torso, Very happy with the Short Length. One last note. The pants almost looked shiny when I first put them on. I thought the material was weird, another turn off. Bought two pairs of these jeans a couple years ago and they're great up to a point. They're a little long, as other reviewers have mentioned, but a good fit overall still. Fabric is great- fit is too long
The pants feel amazing and fit great everywhere except for the length. I ordered the short size and I'm still going to need to find somewhere to hem them or decide to return them.

The sizing of these is pretty wild. I'm typically a 32 x 31 in pants and always opt for slim fit as I'm 5'10 and 168lbs. Despite the label, these are not very slim at all. Love them!!! I thought it was a mistake to do away with the Straight Fit Jeans but the Performance really lives up, especially getting in and out of the car. Lighter in weight makes them feel great too. Sizing is spot on and they hold their shape. Couldn't be happier with these jeans.
Utility and style
I've really liked these once I found the right fit. As usual, 32 length on Patagonia seems much too long and the 30's are just a tad shy of where they should be.
