warm, sturdy and good looking
I purchased these gloves after trying several other brands in my quest for gloves capable of handling the conditions where I live: an island in the Pacific Northwest. Read Moret; fail dismally when put to the test. These gloves function nicely in the conditions for which I need them, plus fit well on my small hands. Given their good fit, I am able to handle the wet, cold boat lines when getting into and out of my boat, and also am able to tie knots without difficulty. Today I discovered they are not waterproof when fully immersed in water, but that is really not a common (hopefully) occurrence. However, I DID discover that even when wet, they continue to be supple and warm. They don't look like work gloves, so transition nicely to meetings. About the cost: they are expensive, but when I consider the cost of lower quality gloves and how often I need to purchase them (and how poorly the cheaper ones work), they will cost me much less in the long run.
