Ultralight and water-resistant, the Boys’ Hi-Loft Down Sweater Hoody is insulated with Traceable Down (600-fill-power duck down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked).

When the sky’s so low he can practically reach up and touch it, the all-weather Boys' Hi-Loft Down Sweater Hoody makes sure he can keep his head in the clouds. Lightweight, exceptionally warm and compressible, it has a 1.4-oz 20-denier polyester mini-ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to foil wind, rain and snow; lining fabric is polyester plain weave. The quilted-through Traceable Down (600-fill-power duck down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked) maintains warmth and stays put even after relentless use and washings. Cold-weather essentials include a quilted 3-panel hood, full-length zipper with wind flap backing, two zippered handwarmer pockets with reflective webbing pulls, adjustable drawcord at hem and spandex binding on hood and cuffs to seal out drafts. Internal zippered chest pocket doubles as stuffsack.

Traceable Down Insulation

Patagonia Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of our down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket–and every step in between. Learn more
