100% Recycled Polyester Fabrics
We’ve been using shell and liner fabrics woven from 100% recycled polyester yarns since we launched the very first Nano Puff® style in 2009.
This season the zippers on all Nano Puff® styles are made from 52-62% recycled polyester.
Since 2014, we’ve used 85% recycled polyester content in the woven Patagonia labels that appear on our Nano Puff® garments.
win for performance
Featuring the new PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco:55% recycled polyester insulation with 100% performance
PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco’s exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio means you don’t need bulk to stay warm. Less bulk, in turn, means lighter weight–always a consideration for a technical insulation piece built to keep you warm in remote, weather-prone environments.
PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco’s microfibers mimic both the softness and the packability of down. Its compressibility makes it the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available, saving you space while delivering remarkable warmth.
Warm even when wet
PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco maintains 98% of its warmth when wet, making it a great choice for any outing where rain or snow is a good possibility. The ultra-fine, tightly laid fibers that comprise the insulation are treated with a specifically-developed fiber finish to repel moisture. When insulation stays dry, you stay warm.
PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco resists moisture on its own. But we wrap it in a 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish for all of our Nano Puff® styles. The result is an insulating piece that blocks wind and sheds precipitation, whether you're using it as outerwear in cool conditions or as a midlayer under a shell in cold conditions.
