Weatherproof

Patagonia developed the 4-layer fabric construction for our waders to increase breathability and abrasion resistance, move moisture away from the body, and decrease the weight.

Our exterior fabrics are densely woven 100% polyester microfibers for durability and puncture resistance. On one side we apply our H2No® waterproof coating for waterproof/breathable performance. On the other side we apply a Hydrophilic laminate that pulls moisture away from the body so it can be passed out through the exterior shell.

To protect the hydrophilic laminate we use a soft polyester tricot lining that increases abrasion resistance yet maintains a soft, supple drape. Finally, we apply a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment as the first line of defense in keeping these waders waterproof.

Women's Spring River Waders - Reg is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Near perfect waders, with huge feet These waders are nearly perfect in every way, and it makes me really sad to give them only three stars. They're well made, durable, warm, and flattering. But as other reviewers have mentioned, the neoprene footies are way too big. I'm 5'7", 160, with size 8 feet and the regular Large fits perfectly in every way other than the feet. The neoprene footie is so big that it bunches up uncomfortably even in an extremely oversized boot. After I manage to get my foot into the boot, invariably the footie has pushed backward so that my toes are squished and there's an uncomfortable wad of neoprene behind that. Rats! I think that if you're blessed with size 11 feet, you'll be psyched about these waders. But if your feet are 9.5 or smaller, the foot will be too large.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Women's Spring River Waders Pro: Waders fitted well and stayed dry. Stylish looking. Con: Neoprene foot is one size fits all, which does not work for everyone. I have shoe size 5.5, and it was very difficult to get into my Patagonia size 6 wading boots because the neoprene foot was too big, and the extra material bunched up in the wading boot. It took extra time to adjust the neoprene foot in the wading boot before I can feel comfortable walking. Definitely need to have smaller neoprene foot size options for petite women with smaller feet. Not sure I like the way the straps work, I shortened the straps all the way and the "V" in the back was not very comfortable, and too close to the neck. The strap from the "V" to the top of the wader in the back was hanging loose, since I could not adjust that part to shorten it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great waders, except.... I received these waders and was very impressed with the overall quality and craftsmanship. However, the boot feet are improperly sized. I am 5'7', 150 pounds and wear a women's size 9.5 shoe. The size large regular waders were correctly proportioned for me, except for the boot feet, which were huge. My feet are a true size 9.5 which should have worked fine, but I wound up returning these, and am waiting for a spring shipment of the women's medium small full wader, which has a much smaller boot foot as a standard size. I tried on the next smaller size locally, in a medium full, and the boot feet were still much too large, even with a heavy wool sock. Looks like a great product, but the boot feet sizing needs to be corrected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank you Patagonia!! These waders are a godsend!! I had been wearing a pair of men's waders for a few years and while they got the job done, they were extremely uncomfortable and very difficult to maneuver in. Every time I crouched down or lifted my leg I had to readjust the leg material otherwise I couldn't bend my knee properly. My feet were always ice cold in the booties even with layered socks. There was way too much material around the waist that was always bunching and causing issues. Enter the Spring River waders- I can fish all day long and practically forget I'm wearing them. I can climb over boulders, climb in and out of the boat, move any which way and I do not need to make a single adjustment beforehand. My feet are finally warm with the lined booties. The feminine cut makes for a much more streamlined fit without excess material around the hips and rear but there is still plenty of room for layering. The drop system with the suspenders is a great feature and I love being able to convert to hip waders if the weather warms up later in the day, not to mention being able to go to the bathroom without worrying about dangling straps getting soiled. I am so in love with these waders and cannot recommend them enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit! I love these waders. The fit through the legs and hips is spot on- I can crouch down to slide into a stream or release a fish and I often forget that I have them on! The booties (both in color and lining) are such a nice touch. These waders also travel well- I've jammed them into many suitcases and I've been surprised at how well they compress. The convertible straps on top are very convenient for changes in my body temperature. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm, comfy and BOMBER!!! I want to HUG the women who helped design these! I fished hard in AK this summer and these waders stood up to the demands! The lining in the bootie was a special bonus for warmth/wicking. I was unsure of size (I'm 5'7" 130# with size 8.5-9 shoe) I went for The Women's Med and size 7 boot. They were perfect with plenty of give while climbing over logs, etc. yet not baggy. Patagonia: YOU NAILED IT! THANK YOU

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank You Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! I knew I was going to love fishing but had a hard time getting into it with my men's extra small waders. These are so perfect and comfortable that I can (and do) fish all day (and very frequently outfish the hubby!!!). Thank you, Patagonia! In the battle between Simms and Patagonia in our household, you are certainly taking the lead! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than before I had a pair of the old womens Watermaster waders and liked them a lot. The things I did not like about them was the heaviness of the material, the fact that the material "wet out" (I wasn't getting wet, but the outer layer of material was, making me feel slightly colder), and the fact that there was no hand warming pocket (a must for the NW). Upon initially trying these new waders on I could tell the immediate fit is better. It is slightly more generous, and fits exactly according to the fit guide on the website. The booties feel softer and more pliable with my feet in them than they did in hand in the shop. The option of sliding the upper portion up and down in order to stuff in layers, etc. is awesome. Much better than the snaps of the old Watermasters. The chest is very roomy as compared to other brands of the same size and allows myself to still add adequate layers, which is always an issue of mine. The material feels lighter than the Watermasters and allows me to feel much more nimble in keeping up with the guys on the water, yet still is very breathable and kept me toasty warm in the snow. And after a day of casting in waist deep water I was able to watch all the water bead off with no wetting out at all. The water beaded off so well in fact that it allowed me to be lazy and shake of the water and drive home in my waders without my truck seats getting wet!
