Patagonia Kitesurfing
Kitesurfing is a natural
extension of surfing.
There wouldn’t be waves if there wasn’t for wind, and using the wind just means riding more waves. It lets us maximize our water time and make the most of afternoon onshores—and it turns blown-out conditions on a surf trip into hoots and high-fives instead of head-spinning hangovers.

Stretch Terre Planing Hoody $119
When we started kiting over a decade ago, we found we were staying out all day instead of heading for shade when the winds kicked up. That meant more sun exposure, and for tropical trips we needed better protection to keep from getting fried. Providing superlight, 50+ UPF sun protection both in and out of the water, we built the fast-drying Stretch Terre Planing Hoody to be kite-harness compatible, with a hidden entry that lets you wear the jacket over your harness.
Big Wave Collection Purpose-built flotation and protection, for increased safety in the heaviest and most hazardous conditions.
The best boardshorts are defined by the details. With four-way stretch for the most dynamic motion, our new Hydro Series designs are the best boardshorts we’ve ever built. The fused waistbands hold snug to the hips through a full range of movement, and streamlined performance fits minimize seams while maximizing stretch. They’re also made from recycled polyester blends, Fair Trade Certified™ sewn and fully backed by our Ironclad Guarantee.
The perfect solve. Rigging kites can be the coldest part of your session. When we got tired of heavy and clammy neoprene options, we decided to rewrite the book by taking lightweight stretch boardshort fabric and laminating it to a warm, fast-drying wetsuit lining. The result was the Stretch Thermal Hoody—the lightest, most durable rigging coat on the market. The perfect solve for pre- and post-session warmth, it holds off wind and spray and insulates even when wet.
Suited to the sea. Designed to stay put at high speed, our Nanogrip bikinis hold close to the body with secure straps, blended linings for increased grip, and sleek outlines that reduce drag. Shop Swimwear
